Built adjacent to Catholic University, the property would naturally see student traffic, but the property was also built to connect Brookland to the larger DC population. The intentional construction of the Arts Walk represented the rich artistic history that the Brookland neighborhood is known for, and is a destination for the entire city to enjoy.

Initiatives:

  • Share with the community the history of the art and art community rooted in Brookland, NE
  • Create experiences at the Arts Walk that would promote the individual artists and create a sense of community, such as Third Thursdays: Art Night Out
  • Partner with local organizations, such as Dance Place, MedStar Washington Hospital Center, Children's Hospital, Busboys & Poets
  • Provide marketing support and idea generation to the individual artist studios through one-on-one consulting and monthly meetings
  • Pitch Targeted PR campaigns to generate coverage
